Beverly Sue (Reams) Jones, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 23, 2025. Beverly was born on November 29, 1938, in North Texas, to John and Clydie Reams. She grew up in Electra, TX and graduated from Electra High School, later earning an associate’s degree in Accounting.
At a skating rink in Iowa Park, she met the love of her life, Jerry L. Jones. They were married on July 20, 1958, beginning a lifelong partnership marked by devotion and care. When Jerry was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, she chose to retire early so she could care for him full-time, a reflection of her deep commitment and selfless love.
Throughout her life, she was known for her many talents, creativity, and determination. She read her Bible every day and found joy in sewing, needlework, crossword puzzles, and creating art in various mediums. Her handwriting was legendary—so precise and beautiful it looked as though it had been printed by a machine. A gifted seamstress, she created many of her own patterns from scratch and lovingly embroidered countless hand towels and baby gifts for others as a way to show appreciation and love.
Her creativity extended beyond her own craft work. She was the inventor and patent holder of a product called Sock Easy, designed to help with embroidering socks—an accomplishment that reflected both her ingenuity and her perfectionist approach to her craft.
Though Parkinson’s disease eventually limited her ability to continue many of these hobbies, her determination carried her forward, and she continued doing what she could for as long as possible.
While she did not have children of her own, her life was filled with the love of many. She cared for countless babies in her church nursery and was a devoted presence to her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she spoiled and loved as if they were her own.
She worked professionally for National Life Insurance and Nortex 911, where her perfectionism, dedication, and strong work ethic were well known and deeply valued.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry L. Jones; her parents, John and Clydie Reams; and her siblings, Mary, Dale, Bob, Joyce, and Kenneth.
She is survived by her sister, Patsy; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as treasured friends who were blessed by her generosity, determination, creativity, and faithful spirit.
Above all, she will be remembered as generous, meticulous, and incredibly determined—someone who gave her best in everything she did, whether caring for others, creating with her hands, inventing something to help others, or living out her faith each day.
