Celso Lopez

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Garden of Inspiration at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the funeral home.

Celso was born on June 30, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Roberto and Victoria (Rojas) Lopez. He met and married Mary Gonzales on September 9, 1971. Celso was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to grill in his backyard, going to the casino, listening to 60’s classics and sitting on the porch at home. Celso was the treasurer at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He will be missed by all of his friends and family.

Celso is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lori Rios, son-in-law, Gabriel Rios and son Joe Bernal Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary, children, Angel Lopez, Christina (Lopez) Orduno and husband Jose, Delores Booth and husband Richard, Johnny Bernal, Elizabeth Palacios and husband Johnny and Sandra Bernal, brothers, Albert Lopez and wife Marilyn and Thomas Lopez and wife Dora, sister, Helena Hernandez and husband Pete Sr., grandchildren, Isaac Orduno, Gabriella Orduno, Alexis Lopez and Andrew Lewis, 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, cousin, Danny Lopez and a host of nieces and nephews.
