Dorene Shelby

Dorene Perry was born on August 20, 1937 in Frogville, Oklahoma. Dorene graduated in 1955. She married Eugene Shelby Sr. in 1959. She started her career as a beautician in 1969 at Tom’s Salon in Wichita Falls, Texas and retired in 1999.

Dorene was preceded in death by her mother and father - Virginia McClure Perry and Raymond Perry, husband - Eugene Shelby Sr., and son - Christopher Gene Shelby, brothers - Vernon, Lawrance, and Raymond Perry.

Dorene is survived by sons - Eugene Shelby Jr. of Sherman, TX and Ricky Dean Shelby of Wichita Falls, TX, sisters - Glenda Dean Fraiser of Paris, TX and Corene Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, grandchildren - Kristi Shelby and Kevin Shelby of Los Angeles, California, Christopher Hayes and Carolyn Hayes of Wichita Falls, Texas, Ricky Dean Jr. and Danial Eugene Shelby of Wichita Falls, Texas, Patricia Benett of San Antonio, Texas. Dorene is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, two great grandchildren, and family and friends.
