

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the Garden of Serenity at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening on Friday, June 5, 2015 at the funeral home.
Gary was born January 30, 1948 in Hodge, Louisiana to Thurman and Mary Alice (Weaver) Williams. He married Joanne Etoch on March 24, 1972. Gary went to Jonesboro –Hodge High School where he was an excellent football player and was named All District Player. He joined the United States Army and did a tour of Vietnam. He was a carpenter and iron worker and helped build many of the buildings in Wichita Falls. He traveled extensively through work going to Hawaii, Montana, Mississippi, Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama and Florida. Gary loved to hunt, fish and camp. His favorite pastime was spending time at the lake house on Amon Carter Lake. He was a big story teller and made friends with everyone he met. Gary loved his family and life and once said “I have lived a good life and I am okay to go”.
Gary is preceded in death by his father, Thurman Williams; brothers, Eddie and Jimmy Williams; sister, Patricia Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; son, Greg Williams and his wife Ann; daughters, Kendra Williams and Shawna Wilbur and her husband Chad; mother,
Mary Alice Williams; brother, Jamie Williams; granddaughter, Cheyenne Brown.
