

Gerald Edward Terrell, 87, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Wichita Falls, Texas. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 13, from 6pm to 8pm at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home, Wichita Falls, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 14, at 10am at Crestview Memorial Park, Wichita Falls.
Gerald was born on March 16, 1928 in Chaplin Kentucky, to John and Margaret Terrell. After being raised on a tobacco farm, Gerald joined the Air Force. He served for 6 years as an airplane mechanic and met his wife, Marie, while stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base. He left the Air Force to become a civil service instructor at SAFB and made Wichita Falls his home until he retired in 1974 and moved to Bowie, Texas. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, in Wichita Falls. In his earlier years he loved bowling, and was a youth bowling coach for many years. He was a jack of all trades who was always helping others.
Gerald is preceded in death by: his wife, Marie Terrell, and daughter, Patricia Welborn.
Survivors include: children; Steven Terrell and wife, Marilyn; Becky Coale and husband, Randy; Herb Terrell and wife, Peggy; grandchildren; Gerald Welborn, Breanna Shutt, Katherine Franklin, Cheston Welborn, Ricky Terrell, Brian Terrell, Keithen Coale, Kristi Bloom, Matthew Terrell, and Jennifer Lebow, and 19 great grandchildren.
