

Glenda Sue Broderson Hooker, 86, of Wichita Falls, TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 10th, 2025. She was born on March 23rd, 1938 in Grayback, TX, and spent her life devoted to family, faith and community.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett (Ace) and Carrie Broderson; her husband, Chuck Hooker; brother, Emmett Eugene Broderson, and sisters, Fern Caraway, Helen Penn, and Mary Lou Hudson. She is survived by her, sister, Jackie Youngborg; daughter, Kim High and husband Frank; son, Mark Kimes and wife Susan; step-daughter Keila Compton and husband Jon; grandchildren, Karen High and partner Amanda Cermak, Chad Kimes and wife Jessica, Clint High and wife Kaylie, and Hollis Compton; great grandson, Sammy Kimes; and several nieces and nephews.
Before retiring in 2014, Glenda worked for 25 years at Styles and Associates. Beyond her professional life, she was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church, faithfully living out her Christian values. Glenda was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Red Hat Society, where she cherished the friendships and joy these communities brought to her life. Known for her thoughtful gestures, Glenda never missed sending a birthday or thank you card. She carried herself with elegance and grace, always perfectly put together with her hair and makeup done. Glenda’s passion for her family, was evident in every aspect of her life. Her unwavering faith, generosity, and devotion to her loved ones will remain in the hearts of all who knew Glenda. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park on Friday, January 24th at 1:00pm.
