

Lucy was born to Frank D. Perez Sr. & Sarah E. Perez on March 12, 1953, in Knox City, Texas. She was the third youngest out of eight children. When Lucy was younger, she lived and attended school in Knox City. In her childhood, she was fortunate enough to have family and cousins close by who then as playmates would continue to be her best friends up until her passing.
Lucy was an adorable, caring yet stubborn spitfire. She loved her family and was a faithful servant of God. She later moved to Wichita Falls with her family where she played clarinet in marching band and was also a cheerleader. She soon graduated from Hirschi High School. Lucy loved Jesus and lived a life full of the fruits of the spirit, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.
After attending college, she started her career at Seimens. She later worked at ABB and the pursued a career in marketing at Nuco. Some of her favorite activities were watching old movies, going to the casino with her friends, and spending time with her nieces, nephews and familia. She was an avid member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Wichita Falls, TX. She was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible.
Lucy was an example of a woman driven by her purpose and faith in God. She would always challenge those around her to be the best version of themselves. Though she had a firm voice, her heart was of gold. She would never hesitate to give her last to someone in need. Lucy's legacy will live on forever through the many memories of those who had the opportunity to know her. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt and friend.
Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, Frank D. Perez and Sarah E. Perez of Wichita Falls, Texas; brothers and sisters, J.R. Munoz, Greg & Mary Villareal; Daryl & Vicki Sanchez; Jacob D. Perez Sr.; nephews John Ozuna III, and Jonathan Petty; & other close friends and family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Frances Munoz, Lou and John Ozuna, Frank and Connie Perez, Phillip Perez, all of Wichita Falls; sister-in-law Rita Perez (Jacob Perez) Iowa Park; Also, several sweet friends, nieces and nephews who will dearly miss her.
A rosary with visitation for Lucy will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel, 1917 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
The family would like to thank the staff at United Regional Hospital & Hospice of Wichita Falls for caring for Lucy in her last few months. It is with great appreciation that they cared for this amazing woman, our sister, cousin, aunt, great-aunt, and friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church of Wichita Falls, Texas.
