

James Curtis “Brad” Bradberry, Jr., 85, of Wichita Falls died Monday, June 28, 2010 at a local hospital. Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Father Scott Wooten. Interment with military honors will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. A reception will follow his services at the Church of the Good Shepherd.
James was born September 6, 1924 in Dublin, TX to Ila Mable (Carlisle) and James C. Bradberry, Sr. October 8, 1945 he married the love of his life, Florence May “Terry” Glenn in Birmingham England and together they raised one son. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII in the European Campaign, earning a Bronze Star for his bravery in battle. He worked as a trainman with Burlington Northern Railroad for over 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Citizen’s Police Academy, Neighborhood Watch President, VFW Post 8878, and local Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Mr. Bradberry is preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Gilland and Edyth Mae LaBaume.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Terry Bradberry; devoted son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Shirley “Mike” Bradberry of Henrietta; three granddaughters, Noreene Rollings of Mineral Wells, TX, Nancy Richmond of Scottsdale, AZ, and Nikkie Roy of Wichita Falls; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jack and wife Edna Glenn of Birmingham, England; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
