Johnnie Lawaynne Cooper, 74, of Burkburnett, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday June, 6, 2020 surrounded by her granddaughter Sade, great-grandson Eli, whom loved his Nana with all his heart, her son Ronnie, her daughter Janice, and loving sister by her bedside.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday June 15, 2020 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Viewing will be from 6-8 PM Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park.
Johnnie was born December 21, 1945 in Harlingen, TX to Calvin C. and Edith Chapman. She grew up in Salinas, California and graduated High School in Stamford, TX in 1963. She married the love of her life Kenneth Cooper on September 17, 1996. He preceded her in death in 2006. She took wonderful care of her family, which she loved doing the most. She retired after 25 years from Civil Service at SAFB, Wichita Falls, TX. She also worked as a waitress for her family for 25 years. She was also preceded in death by her beautiful mother, Edith Modell Chapman whom she will meet with in Heaven.
Survivors include her children: Ronnie Lee Hendricks and wife Anita of Burkburnett, Janice Lynn Hendricks of Burkburnett, Robert Lee (Bobby) Hendricks of Joplin, Missouri, and Robyn Burleson of Graham, Texas; sister: Janice Drew of Phoenix, Oregon; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
