Juanita Faye Collins, 84, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, peacefully at her home in Wichita Falls, Texas. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 1pm Friday, July 24, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. A visitation is scheduled for 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, July 23, at Hampton Vaughan.
Juanita was born October 19, 1930 to Carl and Bertha Hunn in Seminole, Oklahoma. She moved to the Wichita Falls area when she was elementary aged. Juanita married the love of her life Gerald Forrest Collins on August 12, 1950. She was a member of First Baptist of Wichita Falls, the Women’s Forum, and Junior League. Juanita enjoyed playing the piano; she had been playing by ear since she was only three years old. She loved her little group known as the Friday Lunch Bunch.
Juanita is preceded in death by: her parents; Carl and Bertha Hunn, husband; Gerald Forrest Collins, daughter; Laura Lynn (Lolly) Shoemaker.
She is survived by: Grandson; Bob Shoemaker, granddaughter; Janie Watkins, great grandchildren; Kylie Garretson and Tyler Watkins.
