

Loveta B. Williamson Shely, 100, of Wichita Falls passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Private cryptside services was held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum with Reverend Lydia Pellikan officiating with entombment following.
Mrs. Shely was born October 1,1911 in Wise County, Texas near Alvord to the late Ed Balch and Viola Kate (McGaughey) Balch. She was raised in Byers, TX and graduated high school there. She attended Hardin College in Wichita Falls and then later West Texas State in Canyon, Texas. She worked at the Pantex Munitions Plant near Amarillo, Texas and it was there she met and married B. G. Williamson in 1940. They moved to Wichita Falls in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1963. In 1970, she married Charles H. Shely and he preceded her in death in 1980. Loveta was a member of the Highland Heights Christian Church in Wichita Falls. She was a very talented artist and wood worker.
Survivors include her son, Barry Williamson and wife, Jane of Wichita Falls; granddaughter, Maegan Williamson also of Wichita Falls; step-grandchildren, Jean Briscoe and husband, Billy, Mike Williamson and wife, Linda, Louise Keffe and husband, Dan, Lyn Barrus and wife Eileen, Kim Barrus and wife, Dana, Scott Barrus, Christie Holngren and husband, Bruce and Leslie Howard and husband, Mark. She was also preceded in death by a step-son , L. E. Williamson, a step-daughter, Pat Barrus and a step-grandson, Barney Williamson.
