Marcy Alexander

Marcy was born on July 17, 1948 in Olney, Texas to Jim and Dorothy Johnson. She went to Olney High School and later married the love of her life, Neil Alexander on February 17, 1990 in Graham, Texas.

She is survived by her husband along with her children; Charles Nunley and Charlene, Rhonda Harper and Fiance’ Russ Hayley of Wichita Falls, Texas. Grandchildren; Cody Wooten, Dannielle Yates and husband Nathan of Sulphur, LA, Cody Harper and Riley of San Antonio, Texas, Caroline Harrington and Kyle of Iowa Park, Texas, five great-grandchildren; Haddie, Hannah, Sawyer, Maddox and Wyatt, sister, Janie Connors and Kevin, two nieces, Tristan and Tammy, great nieces and nephews and several cousins and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Benjamin Connors.

Marcy fulfilled her dream of being a nurse in 1977, through sweat and tears she made it through nursing school raising children, being a single mother and working full time. She had an excellent work ethic and never waivered in doing what she put her mind to do, and giving it 100% when it came to her job. She worked in several nursing homes in Graham, Texas, and in her later years worked in Burkburnett, Texas, and took care of her own Dad there until his death. She had a heart for loving on and caring for the many patients she saw over her years of nursing. In later years she was a Home Health nurse for a family with disabled children and she loved them like her own.

Marcy loved music, especially Old Rock and Roll, Classical and any Elvis songs. Marcy had a million dollar smile and was always smiling! She enjoyed puzzles, drinking her coffee, visiting friends and church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow. All who knew Marcy were familiar with her heart that was full of love for others.

Services are at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home at 1pm on Friday, January 14, 2022. Burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
