Marjorie G Linder

Marjorie Lou Grisham Linder, 95, a longtime resident of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 in Denton, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Crestview Memorial Park with Jerry Parker officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum at Crestview. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 Wednesday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Marjorie was born on February 23, 1917 in Rucker, TX to I. T. and Flora (Cloud) Grisham. She married the love of her life, Johnnie D. Linder on February 6, 1943 in Dallas, TX. After graduation from Gorman High School, Marjorie worked as a lab technician at Harris Memorial Hospital, then later worked part-time as a sales representative for Childcraft Books and Fashion Two-Twenty. She was a charter member of Fairway Baptist Church of Wichita Falls where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie D. Linder in 2008; her parents, I. T. and Flora Grisham and by a brother, Jimmy Grisham.

She is survived by her son, Michael Linder and wife, Liz of Denton, TX; granddaughter, Allison Linder Gilmore of Denton, TX; grandson, Greg Linder and wife Lindsay of Lubbock, TX and a great grandson, Raiford Linder also of Lubbock.
