Mary Olive Peterson

Visitation will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 10, 2018, with the funeral service following at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Rowe officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park.

Mary was born on December 24, 1921 in Ivanhoe, Texas to Herschel B. and Bessie Lou Ownby Curry. She married Clarence Edgar Peterson and he preceded her in death in 1941 when he was killed in action during World War 2. She gave to a lot of charities and loved to work at the Sonshine House for as long as she was able. She worked as a waitress for many years. She was a member of Broadway Church of Christ and loved going to Luby's after church with her church friends. She was also preceded in death by her son: William Michael Peterson; and her grandchildren: Lurie Peterson and Michael Wade Peterson.

Survivors include her great-grandsons: Wade Christian Peterson of Dallas and Michael Dylan Peterson and wife Sariah of Amarillo; her great-great-granddaughter: Kaislyn Irene Peterson; and her good friend: Tammy Ferrer of Wichita Falls.
