Melba L Ashley

Melba Jones Ashley, 83, of Wichita Falls passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in the Garden of Compassion of Crestview Memorial Park with Dr. David Hartman of First Christian Church of Wichita Falls, officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 Monday, April 13th at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ashley was born March 5, 1932 in Wichita Falls to the late J. D. and Eula (McDonald) Jones. She married Leon Ashley August 14, 1948.

Mrs. Ashley was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Ashley and a son, Donald Ashley.

Survivors are her daughter, Phyllis Litteken and husband Frank of Wichita Falls; son, Gary Ashley of Alameda, CA; daughter-in-law, Kaylean Ashley of Allen, TX; sister, Elizabeth Nethery of Lubbock, TX; brothers, Lynn Jones of Lake Arrowhead, TX, James Jones of Petrolia, TX, Kenneth Jones and LeeRoy Jones, both of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren and their spouses, Courtney and David Carlton of Midland, TX, Ricki and Tony Ward of Rowlett, TX, Frank Scott and Kristen Litteken of Wellington, FL and Kyla and Chris Collis of Frisco, TX; also three great grandchildren.
