Nathan was born May 29, 1953 to Garland Payne and Laura Watson in Vernon, Texas. He worked in construction most of his life. He loved his family and friends. Nathan was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Carrolton, Texas. He enjoyed playing his guitar and riding motorcycles.
Nathan is preceded in death by his father, Garland Payne, and stepfather Elbert Perryman.
Survivors include: Mother, Laura Watson Perryman; son, Clayton Payne; daughters Jennifer Payne and Rebecca Peterson; grandchildren Alexia Atwood and Cedric Atwood Jr, and Savannah and Aaron Peterson; and great grandchild Ryland Atwood.
