She was born on July 23, 1928 in Seymour, Texas to Robert Rufus Priddy and Susie Marsenia Priddy. Ophelia married J D Wharton on December 4, 1948.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Kaye Flack and husband Grady of Jackson, Tennessee and Karen Sue Nix and husband Jasper of Wichita Falls, Texas and one son Robert Allen Wharton of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one sister Imogene Parker and husband Gene of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sue Priddy; her brother, Orvey Priddy; and her husband J D Wharton.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, great-grandsons will be honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be in Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home's chapel from 1 - 2pm with funeral services starting at 2. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to:
