He was on the City Council PTA where he served as Inspirational Chairman. He was a member of First Baptist Church Wichita Falls. He was very active in the children’s ministry, where he fit in being a big kid himself. He had a heart for children and people, when he could no longer teach or be active in the church his new ministry became praying with people he encountered in different places around town. He loved the Lord, he was a man of strong faith.
He is survived by his wife Lynn of 44 years his son Raymon of Wichita Falls, a sister Aundra “Ann” Short of Dallas, a brother-in law Andy Jones of Sherman Texas and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents and sister Betty Jones.

A visitation for Raymon will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
