Rick Venegas

Rick Venegas, 23, of Wichita Falls died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in Wichita Falls. Services have been scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Bob Wright.

Rick was born July 7, 1989 in Wichita Falls to Bessie M. (Stuart) and Ray N. Venegas, Jr. He graduated from Hirschi High School and went to Universal Technical Institute in Houston to become a diesel mechanic. He was employed at Howmet. His family remembers him playing video games and roller hockey when he was younger. He loved to skateboard and went to the city skateboard park with his friends when he could. Rick loved to ride his motorcycle and he loved all sports. He was the perfect example of today’s modern young man.

Survivors include his loving parents, Ray and Bessie Venegas; sisters, Vanessa and husband James Pitts, Jessica Venegas; son, Brayden Venegas; grandparents; Canzala and Gary Stouard, Ray Venegas, Sr., Rosalinda Padron; great-grandmother, Regina Venegas; nieces, Chloe, Sayde; and nephew, Rowdy, all of Wichita Falls.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 Friday, August 31, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
