Ronald L. Compton

Ronald Lee Compton, 75, passed from this earth on July 26, 2023. He was born November 25, 1947 in Fort Worth, TX to Alex and Louise Compton. He married Paula Harmon, the love of his life, on August 1, 1970 in Wichita Falls, TX.

Ron worked for Wichita Clutch for 45 years before retiring in 2020. He traveled the world while employed there. Ron graduated from Rider High School in 1966 and attended Midwestern State University. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corp and kept his Marine fighting spirit until the end. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ron loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He attended all their activities and especially enjoyed watching his granddaughter play softball. Ron and Paula attended Faith Baptist Church for many years where they were active in many areas.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Paula, his much-loved daughters, LeeAnn Marks (William) of Burleson, TX and Courtney Maiorana (Mario) of Arlington, TX and his four grandchildren, Emilee Marks of College Station, TX, Olivia Marks of Burleson, TX, Bella Maiorana of Arlington, TX and Martin Maiorana of Arlington, TX, his sister Suszette McKee (Roger) of Wichita Falls, TX and one niece and nephew. Also, his Mother-in-law Janell Griffin and Sister-in-law Nancy Harmon and many other extended family and friends.

Services will be at Faith Baptist Church on August 2, 2023 at 10:00 am officiated by Pastor Craig Lile and Larry Shields. Burial will be private at Crestview Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hampton Vaughn Funeral Home.
