Rosa Linda (Moreno) "Rosie" Muñoz lost her battle with breast cancer and went peacefully with the Lord on Sunday, March 7, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Highland Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Simon Flores officiating. Graveside Services will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Rosie was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School in 1971 and worked for Empire Bindery for 25 years. She married Pete Muñoz, Jr. on May 26, 1984 in Wichita Falls and enjoyed crafts, scrap booking, and decorating with flowers. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers Rosa Chavez and Elizabeth Moreno.
Rosie is survived by her husband, Pete Muñoz, Jr., son David Muñoz and daughter-in-law Ashley Pena, grandson David E. Muñoz, Jr., parents, Eli and Lile Moreno, two sisters, Bertha Moreno and Mary Ann Moreno; brother Eli Moreno, Jr. and sister-in-law Judy Moreno and nephew Barry Moreno.
A Christian Wake and visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, March 12, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76309.
