Sylvia Jean Cunningham, 84, of Wichita Falls passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 18, 2011 at Crestview Memorial Park with Martin Beck officiating.
Mrs. Cunningham was born January 15, 1927 in Stacy, Texas to the late Edgar B. and Florine (McWilliams) Ballard. She married W. W. Cunningham on January 31, 1948 in Big Spring, Texas and he preceded her in death in 2007. Sylvia was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid and accomplished golfer, once scoring a hole-in-one on #16 at the old La Vista.
Survivors include her son, Jack Cunningham, Wichita Falls; granddaughter, Leslee Gauthier and husband, Keith, Wichita Falls; great grandchildren, Carter Gauthier and Natalie Miller; sisters-in-law, Viva Lee Ballard, Abilene, Tx. and Exa Ballard, Henderson, Tx. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Christine Scott and Mary Helen Starr and brothers, William Ballard and Gilbert H. Ballard.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., 76310.
