Virgil Roy Russell, Sr. 74, of Wichita Falls, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 24th, 2020. Virgil was born on October 07, 1945 in Waring, Texas to Wesley and Mary (Leona) Russell.
He was a loving husband, a caring father, a proud loving grandfather, and a joyful great grandfather. He always claimed he was a jack of all trades, and a master of none. He was a carpenter for many years, then drove for Evan’s Electric until retiring. He loved fishing, singing, playing games, gardening, cooking, and playing pranks on people, but more importantly, he loved his family unconditionally and his Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; Wesley and Mary Leona Russell, his brother; James Russell, and sisters; Peggy S. Russell, Ida Ruth Brock, and Hazel L. (Simon) Hollaway.
He left behind his wife, Opal Viola Russell of 54 years, his children; Cynthia Russell, Roy Russell, Jr., and Jacky Russell, grandchildren; Justin, Heather, Roy, and Cheryl, and his great grandson; Kaiden. Along with his many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
