Alan grew up with a deep love for the outdoors and a strong commitment to family, faith, and community. He dedicated 30 years of his career to Beech / Raytheon, where he served as Head of Maintenance and was respected for his skill, leadership, and steady presence.
A man of faith, Alan was active in Grace Presbyterian Church, where he found friendship, purpose, and a sense of belonging. He was also honored to serve as an active Mason Consistory and an AA advisor, roles through which he encouraged and supported many others.
Alan’s happiest moments were often spent outdoors. He was an avid hunter, enjoying pheasant, quail, deer, and all types of game, and he took pride in training his own hunting dogs. He loved fishing, and in his younger years enjoyed golfing, bowling, water skiing, and riding motorcycles. After retirement, he continued to serve his family by helping mow and maintain the family land, something he took great pride in.
