Barton, Asenath Lena, 82, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away May 31, 2015. Before Asenath was married, she worked as a nurse’s aid and dental assistant for Scheer Dentistry. She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church serving as a Sunday school teacher for 69 years. She was active in the church women’s groups at the local, associational and state level. She volunteered for Victory In The Valley. Asenath was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey; brother, Wilbert Johnson and sister, Elaine Moore. Asenath is survived by her sons, Alan Barton, Alvin (Angela) Barton, Alden (Cathy) Barton; daughter, Alberta Barton; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation with family is 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service is 1:00 pm Thursday, June 4 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Memorials may be sent to Immanuel Baptist Church, 1415 S.
