Bannon, Avis Marie, 86, retired U.S. Postal Service data technician, went to be with our Lord on Monday, October 31, 2011. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Clyde W. Bannon. Survivors include: her children, Michael O. (Caroline) Bannon, Paula S. Bush, Connie L. (Paul) Atherton, Steve W. (Pam) Bannon, Jeff W. (Melinda) Bannon, Rebecca A. Sage (Terri Firestine); 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, her beloved sisters-in-law, Bernie (Dick) Walser, Betty Wilson and Dyca Ferrell, and her beloved friend Don Kirk. The Lord blessed Avis to live at the home she had resided at for over 60 years before taking her to her heavenly home. She leaves behind beloved family, neighbors, and friends, whose lives are forever blessed by her encouragement and kindness. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation is Friday, 12 to 8 with family receiving 7 to 8 pm and funeral service is 10:00 am, Saturday, Nov. 5th at Resthaven Mortuary. The family is honored to establish Avis’s memorial with the Central Community Church Motivator’s Class, 6100 W. Maple, Wichita, KS 67209.
