Barbara Jean Meyer

Wichita, Kansas - Barbara J Meyer, 88 of Wichita passed Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Barbara was born March 23, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She retired from Boeing in 1995. She was an amazing, loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her mother Rita Galloway.

She is survived by her children Steve Porth, Sharon Vaughters (Ron), Denise Gilbert (Don), and Kim Meyer (Laura). She is also survived by five grandchildren, Stacy Hawkins, Karrie Newman, Kristin Van Court, Lindsay Perkins, and Koltin Meyer, and nine great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Georgetown staff.

A come-and-go public visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at Georgetown at a later date so that COVID precautions may be observed.
