She was born October 29, 1939 in Alva, Oklahoma to James Probst and Gladys Snow.
Barbara married the love of her life, Vernon, June 7, 1958.
She worked several jobs including Boeing and Sears, but her true calling was staying at home taking care of her family. In her free time she enjoyed volleyball, cooking and baking. She enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Vernon Stout; and brothers: Jimmy, Bobby and Jerry Probst.
She is survived by son, Tom (Tina) Stout; daughter, Tammy Morales; son, Steven (Tammy) Stout; and daughter, Kelly (John) Phillis; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 4-7 pm and Thursday, June 27, 2024 10 - 11 am with a graveside service to follow at 11 am, all at Resthaven Mortuary and Gardens of Memory, Garden of Gospels, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas, 67209.
In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial with the Alzheimer's Associations, 535 W Douglas Ave #150, Wichita, KS 67213 or alz.org, in her memory.
