

Bennie passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 83. She was born to Norma E. Jones and Benton M. Scott on December 2, 1942, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
On May 1, 1976, Bennie married the love of her life, John Booth.
Bennie was a member of Wichita Women Artists. She enjoyed painting and won many awards over the years. Bennie was an honored member of Praying Hearts with Ridgepoint Church, Wichita, Kansas. She was a volunteer with Operation Christmas Child for many years. Her passion was for others to come to know the Lord as their savior and to know they were loved. There are many children all over the world that received a handwritten message in a card sharing the plan of salvation and love for each. During the last 4 years, she created approximately 1,200 unique clothing pieces per year for Barbie dolls given in Operation Christmas Child boxes. In the last year, she prepared other women to carry on this ministry. She was an inspiration to many.
Bennie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Donna Ford. She is survived by her loving husband, John Booth; children, Daylene Strickland (Randy), Paula Guynn (Ron), Kristi Gutierrez (Lencho), Cheri Booth; grandchildren, Anthony McCall, Amanda McCall (David), Jared Underwood, Kailey Knoll (Kyler), Kelcey Austin (Nathan), Kinsey Garcia (Angel), Nathan Fancher (Nadya), Jordan Fancher; 11 great grandchildren; nephews, Brian Ford (Amy) and Doug Ford.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child.
If you knew Bennie, you knew she loved you. She was a blessing to her family and many friends.
