Blanche E. Haberman

Rosary 7pm, Friday, February 4, 2011 with Funeral Mass 10am, Saturday, February 5, 2011, both at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Blanche was born December 15, 1918 to Ora A. and Leilah B. Manaugh, in Rooks Co., KS near Stockton. She was the loving wife of Ben P. Haberman. Their family and Catholic faith were very important to their lives. Married for 68 years, together they provided for their family of seven children whom they loved dearly. After high school, she attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician until her marriage to Ben in June, 1941. She had a lifelong love for bicycling and rode until her 85th birthday. From her home she baked and decorated wedding cakes, and cakes for all occasions. She retired from Safeway Groceries in 1982.

Preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Joyce Jacobs and granddaughter Audrie Sparks.

She is survived by her son Dwane (Joy) Haberman; daughters Janet (Jerry) Simpson, Joann (Charlie, deceased) Carroll, Donna Haberman, Linda (Fred) Spaulding, Sandra (Bill, deceased) Arnold and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
