Dean, Bland Richard, Jr. The Lord took devoted husband, father, grandpa, friend, Bland peacefully home surrounded by his family on February 24, 2013. Bland was born to Rev. Bland R. Dean, Sr. and Myrtle Dean in Bartlesville, OK on December 6, 1924. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Dottie Weaver, Thelma Hay, Herb Dean. Bland entered the service in 1943 where he served his country during WWII. Later in 1946 he married his first wife Loretha Rayl. They were married until she passed away in 1978. On November 7, 1981, Bland married Imogene Trotter of Scott City, KS. Together they enjoyed traveling, working their business of crafts and wood work until they retired from that in 2003. Bland also retired from Cessna after working there for 37 years. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and a member of the Eagles Nest Christian Fellowship. Survivors include wife, Imogene; sons, Larry (KarrLa) Dean of Garfield, AR, Don (Paula) Dean, Randy Dean both of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Cindy Shaffer of Minnesota, Mary (Jason) Allen, John (Lindsey) Dean, Chris (Danielle) Dean all of Wichita, KS, Erin Dean of Overland Park, KS; great-grandchildren, Laura Doss of Rogers, AR, Adam, Emily, Jack Allen of Wichita, KS, Gracie Dean of Wichita, KS and numerous nieces, nephews. The visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday at Resthaven, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, with funeral services on Thursday at 11:00 am at Eagles Nest Christian Fellowship, 12000 W. 29th St. North at 119th St. West, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, memorial established with Eagles Nest Christian Fellowship. .
