Damon, Carol Eileen was born December 6, 1927 in Weir City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Bessie and Edgar Turpin. Her husband, George, preceded her in death. Carol is survived by four sons: Larry Birran, Scamon, KS, Don Birran, Wichita, KS, Joe Birran, Wichita, KS, Richard Birran, Aneheim, CA, three daughters: Gwendolyn Nelson, Independence, KS, Sandra Hunt, Wichita, KS, Cindy Young, Springfield, MO, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and one sister: Bonnie Pierson, Jacksonville, FL. A memorial service will be held in Weir City, KS with burial in Fort Scott National Cemetery.
