

Carol Louise Ross passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023. She fought hard to make it to her 91st birthday on June 28th, enjoying some pampering and chocolate pudding with her daughter and granddaughter by her side before she was called home to her eternal rest.
Carol was born Carol Louise Roberson in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on June 28th, 1932, to Kertha and Mozella Roberson. She married John Vernon Ross and raised two children. She was actively engaged in spiritual, civic, and social callings as well as a devoted and lifelong member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and an active member of the Madison Avenue Church of Christ before moving to Atlanta, GA during her later years.
Carol is survived by her two children, Vivian Elise (Bunny) (Roy Willis Jr) and Vernon Lawrence (Larry)(Zenobia), brother Dr Philip Roberson (Norma); sister/nieces Georgia Woodland (Paul) and Dorris Ennett (Alfred); grandchildren Terri Denman, Cherrica (C.J.) McKinney, and Camitra Jordan, great grandchildren Cyndi Wright, Christopher Hardeman, Kiera Smith, Reginald Carter, Tyla Combs, Alexus Dizer, Rihanna Jackson, Naomi Webley; great- great grandchildren Juliano Jackson, Cyanne Wright, Caelyn Wright, Calleah Wright, Brayden Hardeman, Korbin Hardeman, JaKeya Jackson, JaKira Jackson, Andrea Smith, Andreonna Smith, Deondrae Smith, Keondrae Smith, Kordell Carter, Elijah Jackson, along with dearest nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband John Vernon Ross; her loving parents; siblings Ethel V. Waddell, Kertha (Buddy) Roberson, Mozella (Joy) Solomon and Vivian (Doll) Walker; brother/nephew Ralph (Sonny) Roberson and grandson Vernon Jackson.
To honor Carol's life a viewing will be held on Saturday, July 15th from 3pm-7pm and Celebration of Life event on Monday, July 17th at 10 am at the Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery.
