

While in high school, Chuck became a certified welder and later joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served for 4 years, that included time in North Carolina, Tennessee and Vietnam during the Vietnam War, where he was a highly decorated Marine.
He met Sandra Kay Laymon and they were married for almost 45 years.
Chuck has worked in RV & Car Sales, owned a full service car dealership named Laymon Motors and other businesses, including real estate where he would remodel houses and turn them into rental properties.
Chuck was always a fun loving, boisterous and, most of all, a caring man that would do anything he could for the ones he loved! He enjoyed fishing, hanging with his buddies, the ocean, but most of all spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 5 siblings: Wanna Kay Sizemore, Ronald Dean Laymon, James Dwayne Sizemore, Richard Leroy Laymon and Patricia Diane Sizemore.
He is survived by his children: Celesia Laymon, Charles Laymon Jr., Carmenda Laymon, Christina Turner, Carrie Laymon, grandchildren: Lorelei Laymon, Christian Laymon, Brenden Laymon, Taylor Siedler, Kamren Laymon, Ethan Turner, Jace Turner, great grandchildren: Raina Laymon, Milo Laymon, and siblings: Patricia Kay Kennedy, Mary Alice Guidry, and Debbie Ann Van Nover.
Chuck has opted to be cremated, so there will be no viewing, but the memorial ceremony will be held at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209 on Monday, March 7th 2022 at 3:00pm at the same time as his wife's. Her viewing will be from 1pm to 3pm.
