Charlie served proudly in the United States Army Corps.
Charlie retired from the United States Post Office as a Manager of Distribution Operations after 35 years. During his life, he coached his daughter Brenda in basketball and was the scorekeeper for her softball team for many years. Charlie was the Vice Commissioner of AABC Baseball, head of Southwest Boys Club, and was a key figure in Westurban's Complex Operations. His greatest joy was attending his grandsons' baseball, basketball, taekwondo, piano recitals, and his granddaughters school plays. He was very proud of his step-son Ryan's service to the United States Army.
After retiring from the post office, he delivered Meals on Wheels with Gwen for 30 years. He was an usher and checked in players for Wichita State University games for 18 years. Both Charlie and Gwen served together as ushers for Pathway Church. As an avid sports fan, he was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan.
