

Crease, Conrad Kenneth, 85, passed away on October 1, 2016. Born August 3, 1931, he was lifetime resident of Wichita, KS. He married Lillian Louise McWhorter on June 9, 1950. They were married for 48 wonderful years before she passed away in 1998. He had a lifelong passion for thoroughbred racing. For ten years he was managing partner of the Prairie Pride Farms Stable and an owner and breeder of thoroughbreds. He had a long and successful career as owner of a tax consultant firm and prior to that he was a successful insurance adjuster. In his later years he authored and published three books, "The Desert Baron:, "Finding The Hidden Horse", and "Running A Hole In The Wind". He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillian Louise (McWhorter) Crease; parents, Kenneth Wallace and Anna Mae (Denham) Crease; sisters, Mary Lou Pilcher and Joann Rourke; and brother, Carl Joseph Crease. He is survived by brother, Wallace Lee Crease; sons, Craig Kenneth (Diane) Crease, and Brian Allen (Cindy) Crease; and daughters, Lainie Louise Crease, and Vanessa Ann (Crease) Moon (Greg); grandchildren, Heidi Lanette (Crease) Oelman (Jon), Julien Bly McDonald, Stephanie Lauren Crease, and Zachary Allen Crease; great grandchildren, Madeline Montgomery Oelman, and Amelia Diane Oelman. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Friday October 7, 2016 and Celebration of Life 1:00 PM Saturday October 8, 2016, both at Resthaven Mortuary. A memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67219.
