Daniel attended Wichita North High School in 1965 as a proud Redskin. He served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1966 to 1968, including service in the Vietnam War. A true patriot, he carried his love for his country throughout his life, honoring the flag and all that it represents.
In 1967, Daniel married the love of his life, Betty Evers, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned decades. Together, they opened Miller’s Dry Cleaners in 1977, a family business they operated side by side until 2012. The legacy of their hard work continues today under the care of their son, Craig Miller.
Daniel embraced life fully. He loved playing softball, coaching baseball and softball for children, golfing, and spending cherished weekends at the family’s lake home at Marion County Lake. Above all, he valued time spent with family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Daniel had many friends whose lives he touched deeply. His circle extended far beyond his family and included countless young men and women who were positively impacted by his coaching and mentorship. He built lifelong relationships within the Wichita community that will continue to reflect his influence for years to come.
