Darci was born on November 12th, 1970 in Wichita, Kansas to Martha Ann (Stockton) Hardiman and John Caleb Stork, Jr. She graduated from Buhler High School (Buhler, KS) in 1989, and after devoting her time to raising her three young children, she went on to become a dedicated pharmacy technician, providing crucial care to others when they needed it most by dispensing life-saving medications. Darci was happily married to Brian Vines, who was her partner in crime for nearly 12 years at the time of her death.
Darci found joy in the simple things of life. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Darci had a passion for visiting her favorite animals at the zoo, non-stop laughter during game nights, solving the weekly NY Times Sunday Crossword, music; both in her home and live concerts, and spoiling her dog, Stella. Darci had a bright and energetic personality; always sensing when others needed a smile or laugh. She loved fiercely, often sacrificing her own needs and happiness to provide instead for those she cared about. She was never afraid to reach out to a stranger who looked in need of a kind word, a laugh, or even her husband’s sandwich!
Darci is survived by her husband (Brian), her father (John), 4 siblings (Geri, Lori, Jim, and Ty), 3 children of her own (Kiley, Caleb and Kirk), 5 children through marriage (Kendall, Phillip, Alex, Brittany and Brooke), 11 grandchildren and numerous others. She has found eternal peace and gone to join her mother (Martha), niece (Alana), all 4 grandparents, and Toby Keith.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Darci’s life on Friday, January 2nd at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel and Gardens of Memory (11800 West Highway 54) where a viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m with the funeral and burial service immediately to follow, officiated by long-time friend, Pastor Jack Norris.
