Donald William Mariner Jr.

Age 59, Supervisor at Dold Foods, passed away Sept. 25, 2019. Donald was a charming man.

He was a social butterfly that had the ability to brighten any room. He always enjoyed time with friends and family in the shop or around the bonfire. He was brilliant, mechanically minded, incredibly resourceful, and could adapt any mans trash into whimsical and functional treasures. He was a constant companion to those he knew and would never hesitate to lend a hand, cheer up, or do a million and one things to show that he cared. He loved spoiling his four legged companions. He was a kind, considerate, and selfless person who will be dearly missed by all those that knew him.

He is preceded in death by parents, Donald "Lefty" Sr. and Evangeline "Jane" Mariner; and sister, Barbara Jellum. He is survived by his wife, Tonya Mariner; daughter, Kellie (Jared) Anderson; sons, Beau Mariner, Adrian (Carol) Mariner; Dennis Bishop, Andrew (Kelsey) Bishop; grandchildren, Brianna Mariner, Benjamin Mariner, Samantha Mariner, Sophia Bishop, Callen Bishop, Sharlotte Bishop, Marcus Bishop, Ava Bishop, Mason Bishop, Zander Bishop, Gracelynn Bishop, Brittany Anderson, Alexandra (Randall) Lynn, Payton Anderson, Isaac Skains, Anakin Williams; brothers, Jamie (Laurie) Mariner, Michael Mariner; sisters, Lucy Johnson, Virginia "Ginny" Schroer; and his beloved pets, Gretchen Dianne, Goliath Eugene, Charlie "Beaner", and Jerry Jamal Thomas Lee Mariner aka "Dick".

Donald's Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2019, at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Ford County Humane Society,800 Avenue P, Dodge City, KS 67801.
