He was born on July 16, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Charles and Reta (Brees) Neckita. He was a member of Riverlawn Christian Church in Wichita.
A classic car enthusiast, Don was always found throughout Kansas participating in the many car shows, winning multiple awards for his custom Chevy Corvette. He was loved and will be missed by many friends and family.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Susan Neckita, whom he married on November 30, 2001.
Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly and husband Will Chabot of Smokey Point, WA; son, Brian and wife, Sarah Neckita of Duvall, WA; two sisters, Charlotte "Jean" and husband, Darryl Creekmore and Cheryl and husband, Hank Raney; and grandchildren, Eric Chabot, Stephanie Chabot, Carter Neckita and Madison Chabot.
Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita.
