Shoaf, Doris J. (Walker) 86, was a homemaker, confidant, counselor, caregiver to family members and others, and always gave more than she took with humility and competence, passed away peacefully March 1, 2016. She was born May 2, 1929 in Bond County, IL where she attended highschool, and she worked on the farm and ranch. She was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene. Doris was preceded by her husband, Gerald Loyd Shoaf; parents, Hope Hull II and Elise Walker; and sister, Marilyn Hartobeen. She is survived by siblings, Jeannine Gobberdiel, Mabel Gruen, Hope, William, and Troy Walker, all of Greenville, IL; son, Larry (Carol) Shoaf now of Wichita; grandsons, Timothy Shoaf of Clearwater, and Clinton Shoaf of Wichita; granddaughters, Laura Shoaf Haskins of Wichita, and Candice Shoaf Marling of Goddard; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 6; Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, both at Resthaven Mortuary.
