Heaven gained another angel, Dorothy J. Armstrong. She was born on January 27, 1937 in Salinas, California. She passed away on September 4, 2015 in Wichita, KS. She spent her life in California, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Dorothy loved people, she never met a stranger, and welcomed everyone with open arms. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished the small things in life. She retired early from Cessna, where she worked in metal bond. That’s where she met her husband, Walter, of 27 years. She loved music and loved to dance. Dorothy is preceded in death by her father Roy Neal Mikel, mother Emoline Sue Thomsen, step-father Wilbur Thomsen, sister Joan Hunter, and son Michael Bunch. She is survived by her husband, Walter Armstrong, children Kerry (Zana) Thomas, Jay Armstrong, Dale Armstrong, Tamatha Moreno, Teresa (Clarence) Collins, Debra Langille, and Karen Langille. She has 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, along with her 2 loving pets Lobo and Bella. Dorothy will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m., at Lakeview Chapel, with burial following.
