Claassen, Dorothy Ruth (Chaney) Dorothy Ruth Chaney was born on September 29, 1923, to Albert and Edris Chaney. Dorothy had two younger siblings, Robert and Beverly. She passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, the 14th of September, 2014. She married Louis Claassen on September 10, 1949, beginning their life together in Whitewater, Kansas. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Edris (Morrison) Chaney, the love of her life, Louis, brother, Robert Chaney and Great Grandson, Enoch Snowbarger. Dorothy leaves behind her sister Beverly (Richard) Spann, sister-in-law Sheryl Chaney, children Candace K. (Mike) Snowbarger, A. Randal (Janice) Claassen, Daniel L. (Marjean) Claassen, 19 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00, September 18, 2014, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 East 13th St. North, Wichita, KS.
