Cooley, Douglas E. “Doug”, 60, born Feb. 26, 1951, left this earth June 1, 2011 to walk with God. He retired from Spirit Aerosystems as a sheet metal mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father Floyd E.; brother Michael K.; grandparents Gordon E. and N. Loretta West and Floyd H. and Lola Cooley. Survivors are his loving wife and best friend of 41 years, Debra ; daughter Denise (Keith ) Merriman of Wichita; mother Shirley Cooley of Haysville; brothers Dennis (Anita) Cooley of Haysville, Terry (Stephanie) Cooley of Wichita; sisters Pamela (Mike) McCauley of Haysville, Kimberly (Bugs Rouse) Cooley of Wichita; grandchildren Shawn Merriman, Dylan Merriman; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service is 10 a.m. June 7, at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to Midwest Organ Transplant or Victory In The Valley.
