His family moved to Wichita, where he lived on the same street since the age of 3. Ed married the love of his life, Doris Louise (Murray) Koon, and enjoyed being a father to his two bonus sons. Ed served a short stint in the Army and college, and was the manager of quality assurance at Raytheon for well over 30 years.
Ed was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris; and sister Elaine V. Koon.
He is survived by his two step-sons, Calvin and Mark Williams; sister, Barbara Avery; brother-in-law, Eldon Murray; cousin, Dee Richards; and close family friend and helper, Carol Gates.
A come and go visitation will be Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral services will take place Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Resthaven Mortuary. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
