

Lorenz, Elva 95 yrs., retired realtor, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and good friend to many was called to heaven on April 3, 2012. Her memorial service is Monday, April 9th at 1:30pm at Pathway Church (formerly Westlink Christian Church). She was married for 47 yrs. to Jake Lorenz and helped to operate the Pen Store, their family business in downtown Wichita. After the store was closed she worked as a realtor for Century 21 Gene Miles Co. winning several million dollar a year salesperson awards. She was a quite pioneer who lived her life with class, dignity and kind words for others. Her life was centered around faith in the Lord, caring for family, genuine friendships and appreciation for flowers and the beauty of nature. Elva was a caregiver to many, unofficial counselor and encourager to others on their life journey. She was simply the very best. She founded a widow support group (S.A.S.)Support & Survival) through her church providing hope, healing and comfort. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jake Lorenz, three infant daughters, brothers Orville and Frank Keller and sister Gladys. She is also survived by her daughter, Linda Buss and son Max Lorenz along with grandchildren Josh Lorenz and Katie Lorenz, Ruth Talavera and greatgrandsons Eli and Jake. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to S.A.S. (Support & Survival) at Pathway Church or to Botanica Wichita.
