Ernest B. Feeler Jr., (Capt., USAF, RET.) beloved husband of Barbra was welcomed into Heaven in the early morning hours of 24 August, 2016 with his loving wife of nearly 60 years at his side. He retired as President, Owner and Operator of F&F Construction Inc. Sonny served as an Elder at Prairie Trail Cowboy Church, past Capt. of Detectives with Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office, owner of Century III Detective Agency, enjoyed Southern Kansas Gunfighters Association as President, and Ninnescah Bow Hunter's Club. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a Mason and a Shriner. A God-fearing, hard-working and extraordinary man, he loved beyond words and approached life with a zeal and passion that most can only ever hope to enjoy and those blessed with his company were naturally compelled to emulate. He will be sorely missed by those that survive him including his younger brother Gary L. Feeler and his wife Ramona of Derby, KS; younger sister Mary K. Burnside and her husband Norman of Port Orchard, WA; daughter Valerie and her husband Jay D. Thomas of Boerne, TX; daughter Deadra and her husband Michael of Wichita, KS; his two Grandchildren, Ernest J. Thomas and his wife Valerie of Abilene, TX; and Ms. Kristen R. Doyon of Wichita, KS; six Great-Grandchildren - James Eric and John Wayne, Bryan, Sierra, Kristian, and Haley; and his two Great-Great-Granddaughters, Eisley and Lacey, among many others who were blessed to have known him. Viewing is scheduled for 5-7 pm on Friday, 26 August at his church home of Prairie Trail Cowboy Church at 8552 S. Broadway in Haysville, KS, with services conducted at "High Noon" on Saturday, the 27th. Graveside services to include full military honors will be convened at Resthaven Cemetery in the Garden of Freedom immediately following the service at Prairie Trail Cowboy Church on Saturday. The family is pleased to invite all who knew Sonny to attend services and share their sorrow in his passing, celebrate the joy he brought to their lives and to share stories of a "larger than life" man who will never be forgotten.
