Eunice Cecilia Mahalic

Eunice Cecilia Mahalic, 87, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. She was born December 4, 1937 at the family farm home, in Mechanicsville, Iowa, the daughter of Adelbert Pete and Bertha Marie (Fisher) Reid.

Eunice was united in marriage to the love of her life, William G. Mahalic, on April 11, 1958, and to this union three children were born, Mark, Margo, and Melissa.

Eunice was a homemaker throughout her life. During her free time, she enjoyed gardening and growing a variety of flowers. Her biggest blessing was to spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Adelbert and Bertha Reid; her husband of 60 years, William G. Mahalic; her youngest daughter, Melissa Mahalic Travis; along with 2 sisters and 1 brother.

She is survived by: her children, Mark (Becky) Mahalic and Margo Lynn Mahalic; her 3 grandchildren, Amanda (Clinton) Bruce, Cody (Sophia Teter) Argood, and Harley (Stephanie) Davidson; her 2 great grandchildren, Brianna Bruce and Gabriella Davidson; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family of Eunice would like to say thank you to the staff at Glen Carr House Memory Care Facility in Derby, KS, for their special care and treatment given to their Mother.

The casket will be open 30 minutes prior to the service.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in the Freedom Mausoleum.
