I first met Sam when I started working at IBM and although I left Wichita we always kept in touch.  I wondered why I hadn't heard from her in a while - she was a remarkable woman and I do miss her.

I just found out that 'Grandma Sam' passed away in Aug as I was looking for her phone number to call and wish her a Happy Birthday.  We became friends when she volunteered at Via Christi.  We lived close by and my son and I wold visit her and go out to eat with her often when I lived in Kansas.  I looked forward to her Christmas card each year.  She had such a generous heart and was a great friend when I lived in Kansas.  I will miss her.

I got to know "Sam" as she was affectionately called while she resided at Chaucher Estates. I've known her for over six years and she was a lovely, wonderful lady. I would go  to C/E to sing in the afternoon for the residents at 4:00 and Sam would always have a glass of orange juice waiting for me. She always seemed to thoroughly enjoying my singing and made me feel as if I was the best singer she had ever heard. She will most definitely be missed by me and many others.

I never worked directly with Sam at IBM but she was always around and smiling and was such a personal friend.  I will miss seeing her.

I first met Sam when she was a volunteer at Via Christi, but our friendship grew and has remained.  What a dear, dear lady--she will be missed by SO many!!!  I was blessed!

I remember Sam when she was at Chaucer. Her and I didn't hit it off at first but we grew to like each other.

As I try to put my feelings for "Sam" into a few words, I find it nearly impossible.  She was a great IBM friend, a friend to my mother, a volunteer to many organizations, always had a smile, totally organized, had the tiniest handwriting, always sent the earliest Christmas cards...and on and on!  She will be missed by many!

She was the best Secretary that anyone could possible have. What a neat Lady.
