Umdenstock, Frances, 88, former Wichita resident, passed away Thursday in Tulsa OK. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, Sept 9, at Wichita Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Mrs. Umdenstock was born May 24, 1922, in Sterling, Kansas, the oldest daughter Ross and Leona Latimer. She was raised in Emporia, and in 1947 married Harold Umdenstock also of Emporia, who died in 1988. Mrs. Umdenstock graduated from College of Emporia. In addition to teaching high school, she worked many years at the former Wesley Hospital in Wichita. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Bitler of Manhattan KS, and her son Jim, plus five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren all of Tulsa.
